A new vocabulary worksheet that can be given to students to record new words on. There is space for the word, meaning, the word in a sentence, synonyms and a 'draw it' space for learners to illustrate the word to aid their memory or even add a translation. I use this with ESOL students but it could be used with any learner who needs to record and remember new vocabulary.

Match the terms about books (author, blurb, index etc) to their meanings either by using the colour or black and white cut out cards (designed in a random order to let the students do the cutting without getting the answers!) or on a standard worksheet where they just draw a line between the terms and their meanings.
